Grilled Lamb Gyros; Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Nut Free Recipe

It was getting warmer, so I decided it was time to fire up the grill for the first time of the season! First up, these grilled lamb gyros that you can easily make gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free by using gluten free pitas and making homemade dairy free tzatziki sauce! Honestly these were not the type of meal I would normally make first thing in the spring, but I FINALLY found plain coconut milk greek yogurt at the grocery store. I have no idea why it took so long for them to start … [Read more...]

Dairy Free Tzatziki Sauce; Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Nut Free Recipe

When you first go gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free you feel like there's nothing you can eat.  I mean honestly, how do you make a dip without cream cheese or sour cream? Or a creamy soup without cream? If you can have soy, or nuts then there are some sour cream and cream cheese substitutes out there, some made with soy, some made with nuts, and some made with pea protein (which, falls into the legume family and relates closely to soy and therefore can't be had by me anyways). … [Read more...]

Crockpot French Onion Pot Roast; Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Nut Free, Allergy Friendly Recipe

These pictures have been sitting here forever so it's kind of random but I'm going to post this family favorite today. There's one meal that tastes surprisingly good everytime I make it. Why are My Seedlings (That Were Doing Great) Dying?

Well, I finally have a minute to sit down and write a gardening post, unfortunately, it's an organic gardening mishap! I'm so sad, all of a sudden, all of my cauliflower and most of my Waltham 29 broccoli wilted and died...completely out of nowhere (I also accidentally killed the majority of my peppers but I blame my 18 month old for turning on the heat mat when I didn't know it so they dried out super quick). Both germinated great using the same method I have used for the last 4 years. I … [Read more...]

How to Grow and Harvest an Organic Garden; Index of Posts

Every year I try to start all of my seedlings inside. Some years I've been more successful than others and I always wished that I documented everything so this year I'll be documenting everything I'm growing week by week. Check out these posts as I'll be updating them all summer! Hopefully most will survive....unfortunately I managed to kill my celery, celeriac, and peppers because (1) I didn't water enough and (2) my 18 month old helper turned the heat mat back on when I wasn't looking :) … [Read more...]

Easter Egg Fruit Tray; An Easy Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Nut Free Easter Dish

So, in usual style (which is late), Easter was yesterday.  I made a few different spring themed dishes for our Easter brunch, including gf mini chocolate coconut donut bird's nests, a bouquet of flower cupcakes (for my grandma's 86th Birthday which she recently celebrated) AND a few Easter egg fruit trays. I was up early yesterday dunking donuts in chocolate, crafting mini eggs out of coconut and naturally dying icing to make my cupcake flowers when I remembered I had also told my mom I would … [Read more...]
